three piece, self contained, covers band - & for just
three guys they cover a lot of musical territory.
Snappy
arrangements of top tunes and real seat of the pants improvisation
go side by side for the musicians in this band.
Everyone
from Al Green to ZZ Top appear in the average nights set
list, with one or two surprises thrown in.
The
real deal when it comes to rock anthems, funky grooves and
cool blues, Blue Voodoo was formed in 1999 by their guitarist
and vocalist - Dave Elcome. The band was initially conceived
as a "busmans holiday" (all the band members are
professional musicians - working on various recording and
live projects) but it proved more popular than expected.
Maybe
it's just the fact that everyone on stage is unashamedly
having fun although a favourable mention on Robbie Vincent's
Kiss FM show no doubt played a part in the bands growing
popularity.
