Boogie
Wonderland are a UK Seventies Disco Tribute band based near
London - ENGLAND.
The
band was formed in early 1996 under Gary Williams and then
drummer Tony Holmes, who called upon the talents of their
favourite musicians on the London / South East music scene
to complete the band's line up. The pair already had a wealth
of experience as permanent members of the 80's chart band
ULTRAVOX, with 2 albums and over 4 years of touring throughout
Europe and the UK. Other noted credits include, amongst
others, work with Dannii Minogue, Savage Garden and St.
Etienne.
Boogie
Wonderland perform all the classic Disco hits from the 70's
and the 80's, including classics from Chic, Kool and the
Gang, Earth, Wind and Fire, Shalamar, Hot Chocolate, Barry
White and The Jacksons, as well as a few Abba hits.
Thanks
to their attention to detail and keeping true to the original
Disco sound, Boogie Wonderland soon became local favourites.
Within one year they were first choice of universities and
corporate organisations such as Virgin Atlantic, Holstein,
Childline, Next, Ericssons and British Airways to name but
a few.
They
have performed at all major London venues - The Grand Clapham,
The Forum - Kentish Town and have a regular monthly performance
at Covent Garden's The Roadhouse.
Boogie
Wonderland also perform internationally in countries such
as Finland and Italy, as well as a residency in Eilat, Israel.
