Since
1984 the Jazz Friends have specialised in lively foot-tapping
jazz in a Dixieland style. Within this framework also reside
the sounds of Duke Ellington and Count Basie making the
band ideal for any occasion where happy, lively music is
required.
Whilst
concentrating on the jazz sounds of the 20's and 30's the
Jazz Friends do not resign themselves to re-runs of golden
oldies and can combine their repertoire with more contemporary
blues based materials.
The
Jazz Friends have appeared at some of the most prestigious
venues throughout the UK. They have toured extensively and
have also appeared at jazz festivals on the continent.
The
Jazz Friends normally play two one hour sets but can also
play three by arrangement.
